The current Government is hell bent on limiting our freedom of expression by trying to define hate speech. Section 14 of the NZ Bill of Rights Act 1990 is clear. To have freedom of expression risks someone else being offended and being offended literally has never hurt anyone. We need to stand against this type of legislative attack on our rights.Our new website is about having a Quality Grp of people who interact with valuable knowledge, ideas & comments … most of us are learning , want to become more informed etc…
Thank you for that Sue and all the work that you are doing it is greatly appreciated. One small thing that I think would help a lot of us, who originally sit on the fringes but now are like you becoming more and more concerned is to show regularly how the membership is growing. I believe there is confidence in numbers and if we can visually see or be regularly get updated on how many members there are each of us can continue to work to bring other like minded people. There is strength in numbers and that is what we are needing if we are going to make a difference. Also links to what is happening particular in Australia. While I know that Australia have their own fight they will fight, the two countries are so closely aligned and it would be good to see some unity there also.
