19TH APRIL 2023
Northland is home, Ōkaihau is home. As a farmer for more than 30 years, I also come with a wide range of experience as a detective, business owner, and most recently, the MP for Northland from 2017-2020.
Politics is about people, and seeing the division and erosion of democracy in New Zealand, I felt it necessary to stand up and form a political party early last year, based on our fundamental democratic and Kiwi principles. Sadly, no other party (including my former party) stood up against the undemocratic mandates, and there isn’t a strong political voice against the climate change hysteria. DemocracyNZ is that voice – we are not afraid to stand up and speak up when it matters.
There is a significant proportion of Kiwis who have felt politically homeless due to the lack of true opposition in the current political landscape.
We’ve had 61 public meetings around the country in the last 12 months, from Kaitaia to Invercargill, and the desire for change is strong.
Politics requires courage – and that is often standing up against the status quo and speaking up for what is right. To see change, we must be part of the change we want to see in New Zealand politics.
We stand for freedom, for family, and for farming. Looking forward to catching up in person at one of our meetings.
