I grew up in the 60s alongside Maori, I still keep in touch with many Primary School friends.

55 Yrs of friendship. Our Fathers worked alongside their Fathers. We all got along as One ..

Many of my Maori friends have businesses , their children … now Adults have their own homes, 

some went to Uni , some traveled overseas. These Salt of the Earth Maori expect ‘NO HANDOUTS, They don’t live in the PAST. 

Many Maori know of the  Patupaiarehe People … This Thread has Monica Matamua ‘s Grandaughter  ( I have HUGE Respect ) …. This race escaped persecution in South America, stopped at Easter island & the middle east, then arrived in NZ before the Maori arrived.  (DNA tests have shown Monica is who she says she is – the descendant of Middle Eastern Caucasian people who voyaged to New Zealand via South America and settled here over 2,000 years ago.) 

Ranginui Samuels Monicas’ Grandchild …  was there with Monica  in 2006 at the Waitangi hearings after the pakeha 

plus Maori … had said their people of Ngati Hotu no longer existed, their  whanau alongside Nanny Monica took this through the Waitangi Tribunal to prove their  existence still prevailed

Judge Wainright who dealt with their case plastered their  story on the internet to their  surprise they  found many people who know of Ngati Hotu people that were still alive. Their  DNA was then tested by The Geographical Society of DNA Registra which proved their  people still existed. Thank you to Elocal who took up their  story and won against those trying to rewrite their  history when in fact they  were here all along !

In the 80s there was a Govt dig in the Waipoua forest at a place called the ‘ Stone Ctiy ” , this is a big complex where people were living .Noel Hilliman was amongst many involved with uncovering artifacts.  The carbon dating came back as dating to 2225 B.C , the dig was shut down the next day , Archeologists working there were told to say nothing , and there was a govt embargo on information to the public about the Stone City and its findings till 2063,some information was released under the freedom of information act 

I find it Strange that Northland Maori seem to know the True History but Tauranga Maori are

being lied to or refuse to understand the True History. We have a new age of Maori who think they are entitled. Perhaps the Beneficiaries or those not choosing to prosper like so many I knew growing up with  &  perfer to try & squeeze more ‘money’ out of the Tax Payer.   And of course the Government of today wants to ‘Divide & Conquer’ so are going along with the Narrative … But sadly it won’t be ‘Salt of the Earth’ Hard working Maori who will Benefit it will be the Elite Radicals up the top. ( They are already lining their pockets )

I hope Maori ‘Wake Up’ … move on & we can be One Again like when I grew up in the 60s.
